Can you drive an EV across the Balkans?

Yes. Fourteen days, twelve countries, Copenhagen to Kosovo and back. The rule I landed on: charge more, charge earlier (the Audi app saved me), do not be brave. I learned this the hard way.

What is EV charging actually like in the Balkans?

Slower than Austria and less mapped. A roadside charger failed 11 kilometers outside Belgrade. The one that worked was an unlisted hotel charger a Serbian stranger led me to. No English required.

Is the North Macedonia border a problem?

It delayed me for paperwork I did not know I needed and somehow already had. The Ohrid plan became Skopje. Border crossings, always an adventure.
