The rules we publish by.

Short enough to actually read. Every story on TLL follows these seven rules, and if one ever does not, tell us and we will fix it in public.

  1. I
    Named human travelers.

Every story carries a real byline from a person who actually went. No chatbot drafts, no filled-in fiction, no stock itineraries dressed up as memory.

  2. II
    Your byline stays your byline.

You keep the rights to your work. TLL gets a non-exclusive license to publish it. You can request edits or removal at any time.

  3. III
Published in 48 hours, edited lightly.

We fix spelling, trim the third-act sag, and leave your voice alone. If an edit changes meaning, we ask first.

  4. IV
Disclosure at the top, never in a footnote.

Hosted trips, gifted stays, press credentials, affiliate links: labeled at the top of the story, before you start reading, every time.

  5. V
    Honest placeholders.

Empty slots say OPEN SLOT or COMING SOON. We do not invent member counts, fake activity, or reviews nobody wrote. If a number is on this site, it is real.

  6. VI
    Specific places, specific dates.

Stories name the country, the city, and when it happened. Advice that cannot survive a date attached to it does not run.

  7. VII
    Corrections owned in public.

When we get something wrong, we correct the story and say so on the story. Send corrections to hello@thatlayover.life.
